Holy Covenant MCC is an open and affirming Christian community of faith that has been serving the Chicagoland area since March 30, 1975. We celebrate our call to embody the spirit of hospitality. It is in this spirit that we welcome people of all genders, races, sexual orientations, gender identities, ages and socio-economic means to participate in the full life and ministry of our church.

We explore our faith in a safe, non-judgmental environment. We celebrate the contributions of Christianity and other faith traditions to our understanding and experience of the Divine, Just, and Creative Presence many call “God.”

The Worship Team nurtures the corporate worship life of our congregation as inspiring, celebratory, and centered on the faithful proclamation of Scripture and communion celebration. We celebrate an open communion, which means you do not have to be a member of Holy Covenant or any other church to participate. Everyone is welcome to the table with whatever beliefs or doubts they may have.

Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund Inc is a nonprofit organization focused on providing human services. It is based in Park Ridge, IL. It received its nonprofit status in 2007.

The GRIDIRON GREATS ASSISTANCE FUND (GGAF) is a non-stock, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization providing financial grants and ‘pro bono’ medical assistance to retired NFL players in dire need with a minimum of 3 credited seasons. The organization focuses on the humanitarian side of post-football related issues, which includes coordination of social services to retired players who are in need due to a variety of reasons including inadequate disability and/or pensions.

The Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund’s mission is to assist dire need retired NFL players who were pioneers of the game and who have greatly contributed to the NFL’s status as the most popular sport in America. Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund provides hands on assistance to help retired players and their families deal with hardships they face after football. The services include medical assistance, transportation costs for medical evaluations and surgeries, housing assistance, financial assistance for utilities, medication, and coordination of services for food, automotive payments, and childcare. Since its creation, GGAF has helped more than 1,000 former NFL players and their families.

Medical Action Myanmar (MAM) is a medical INGO focusing on providing largescale access to free, quality healthcare for the marginalized people in Myanmar. MAM commenced its implementation of activities in 2009 with the first clinic in a huge shanty Hlaingtharyar Township in Yangon. Since then, we expanded to 20 clinics in Yangon, Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Shan, Mon and Sagaing. MAM has also expanded to other areas of need, such as child protection/education.

Furthermore, MAM has recruited and trained villagers in approximately 2300 villages across Myanmar to provide diagnosis and treatment for Malaria, TB and basic health care, amongst others. MAM’s clinics cover a wide variety of services for different diseases ranging from HIV and TB to Basic Healthcare or Hepatitis. In 2023 MAM conducted just over **2 million** medical consultations.

Medical Action Myanmar

FLAP is a nonprofit organization that improves working conditions for low-wage workers.

*The Farmworker and Landscaper Advocacy Project- Proyecto de Ayuda para Trabajadores del Campo y Jardineros- FLAP’s mission is to improve working conditions and opportunities, free of charge for low-wage workers and their households in the cannery, farming, greenhouse, landscaping, meat, nursery, packinghouse, poultry, restaurants, and snow plowing industries through advocacy, community outreach and education, community legal education, information and referrals, fighting human labor trafficking, legal services, preventing family separations by helping secure dual citizenship for their children and facilitating access to technology and cash transfers. FLAP does not receive funding from the Federal Legal Services Corporation.*

Farmworker and Landscaper Advocacy Project

South Suburban PADS works hard to prevent and end homelessness in the south suburbs of Chicago.

South Suburban PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter, or SSPADS) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization with a mission to prevent and end homelessness in the south suburbs of Chicago through emergency shelter, affordable housing, and supportive services. SSPADS was founded in 1990 by dedicated community members who saw a need and decided to assist their unhoused neighbors across the Southland. Dozens of churches hosted SSPADS shelter on a rotating basis and nightly moved “pads” on the floor each day. **Since 1990, SSPADS has provided over 700,000 nights of emergency shelter and over 2 million meals to enable over 20,000 people to overcome homelessness and food insecurity. In addition, SSPADS provides pathways home by helping over 400 people to preserve or access affordable housing homes every year.**

SSPADS owns several apartment buildings and places clients in scattered-site housing. In 2011, SSPADS developed its own 77-unit PSH building in Country Club Hills called the Wellness Center, which includes a full-service teaching kitchen, community rooms, computer lab, classroom, playground, bus service, and clinic space. Our work helps those who are unhoused obtain affordable, permanent rental housing and work to achieve better health and economic security. **SSPADS is the proud recipient of the 2018 Bank of America Neighborhood Builders Award, the 2019 National Good Neighbor Award, and a 2024 Lever for Change Award from MacKenzie Scott’s foundation Yield Giving.**

In addition, South Suburban PADS co-founded and currently leads the Illinois Shelter Alliance (ISA), representing over 60 homeless service agencies from every corner of the state.  **ISA is advocating for increased government funding to address the current shortage of over 4,500 emergency shelter beds throughout the state** (Illinois Interagency Task Force on Homelessness, 2022). ISA successfully advocated for $5 million FY23 and $40 million FY24 increases in the state budget for the IDHS Emergency and Transitional Housing Program.

C4WF funds programs that break the cycle of poverty in Quito, operates year-long volunteer and service-learning visitor programs.

**The Center for Working Families (C4WF)** is a nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty by supporting transformative programs in Quito, Ecuador, while also shaping future leaders through service-learning experiences in the U.S. C4WF provides critical funding for **The Center – A Family of Families**, which provides comprehensive programs like education, healthcare, job training, food security, and social services to vulnerable families. In addition, C4WF operates a year-long volunteer program and group visiting program- giving participants firsthand exposure to global poverty and sustainable solutions.
