Advancing excellence in education, research, exhibition and conservation of desert plants of the world.

In 1939, a small group of passionate local citizens saw the need to conserve the beautiful desert environment. One was Swedish botanist Gustaf Starck, who found like-minded residents by posting a sign that read “Save the Desert.”

With the support of social influencers of the time such as Gertrude Divine Webster, the Garden’s presence grew. Nearly eight decades later, thanks to leadership and investments from many individuals, Desert Botanical Garden has blossomed from a dream into a living museum.

The Garden’s vision is to be the premier center in the world for the exhibition, research and conservation of desert plants. The Garden strives to be an indispensable resource for learning about cactus, agave and other desert plants of the Sonoran Desert and the world. Every element of the Garden reflects excellence, beauty and inspiration to transform the guest experience into one of discovery. The Garden is here to help everyone enjoy the beauty of the desert and to help them care about protecting and sustaining the natural world for the benefit of future generations.

Live & Learn's mission is to empower women to break the cycle of generational poverty through support, education and careers.

Live & Learn is a community-based nonprofit in Phoenix, AZ. Our mission is to empower women to break the cycle of generational poverty. We serve women whose lives have been affected by extreme poverty, homelessness, and violence.  We give women the opportunity to pursue their education and a career, so that they can give their children a better future!  

Women like Amanda, who was homeless and pregnant when she came to Live & Learn.  With Live & Learn’s support, she didn’t give up. She made incredible progress. Now, Amanda is working full-time, has a beautiful baby boy, and is enrolled in a medical assistant program.

Heritage Education Land Prosperity Center, Inc. (aka H.E.L.P. Center Inc.), formerly known as Fast And Indispensable Temporary Help (F.A.I.T.H.) Ministries, Inc., founded on February 2, 1999, incorporated in Arizona, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and 509(a)(2) public charity that provides services to individuals and families so they can become educated, self-sufficient, care-giving leaders within society. Our mission is to create sustainable and healed communities and provide them with food, water, shelter, healing, and protection. We are creating a resource-based system that will eventually eliminate the need for a monetary system through a process called contributionism. It has been demonstrated that 99% of all crime, wars, poverty, and many of society’s ills are caused by a primitive monetary system that no longer serves the needs of all. It creates division, scarcity, competition, impedes progress, and alienates mankind with each other. We have accomplished a great deal so far with limited funding through grants from the  Dept. of Education, APS, and United Way, whereby we have provided rental/mortgage and utility assistance, adult education, GED classes, workforce training, counseling, information referral, business start-up, tax accounting, and financial assistance to low-income and homeless families. Your donations will assist in helping more families around the globe help and uplift themselves.
