We are a Holistic Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, focusing on the well-being of the animals who share our lives, near and far. We participate in rescue, rehabilitation, and care with a holistic focus and look to engage, educate, and encourage everyone to provide the best possible living environment for our fellow beings.

We are foster/ home-based and typically take in senior animals from over-crowded shelters. After any necessary health care, some will move to an adoptive home, others may stay in our care as long-term care or hospice pets. Our intention is to do what is best for the animals given their current state.

Northwest Animal Companions is a 501(c)(3), no-kill cat and dog rescue located in the Portland metropolitan area of Oregon.

Northwest Animal Companions was founded in 2004 when a group of independent animal rescuers decided to pool their resources and talents for the benefit of all dogs and cats in their care. They opened their homes and hearts to create an organization where animals could have the best possible quality of life.

To this day, NWAC is completely volunteer-run, relying on loving foster homes for our animals in rescue and donations to cover the needs of those animals. With very minimal overhead costs, we channel donations toward veterinary care, spaying/neutering, grooming, nutrition, and enrichment for animals in foster, then find them permanent, loving homes.

Our mission: to ensure respectful and humane treatment of animals by providing assistance, rescuing and educational services; bringing people and animals together to enrich each other’s lives through adoption and companionship; and creating a society in which all animals’ inherent value is recognized.

NWAC is a nonprofit organization exempt from federal taxes under U.S. Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3). Contributions are tax deductible. Our employer identification number (EIN) is 02-0714780.

Alliance for Contraception in Cats and Dogs

Angels Wings Transport is a nonprofit organization focused on providing human services, animal rescue and Veteran support.

Angel’s Wings Transport provides safe, fast, and cost-effective air transports of rescue pets, providing welfare-related transports to people who require medical care in underserved areas, and providing transportation for wounded warriors so that they may live at home while being treated at a Military Treatment Facility that can be hundreds of miles away.
