Help Us Fight Malnutrition in Rural Peru
Malnutrition and anemia are on the rise among school-aged children in the Sacred Valley. While national programs focus on children under five, older kids are being left behind—putting their long-term health at risk.
At the same time, the spread of cheap, processed foods is making the problem worse.
Our response: a school-based nutrition education project led by local health workers.
In partnership with rural schools, our promotoras (community health workers) will bring age-appropriate nutrition lessons directly to students and their families. This initiative empowers kids with the knowledge to make healthy food choices and supports teachers who are eager for tools to tackle this urgent issue.
Your gift will:
- Fund school visits and hands-on nutrition workshops
- Support the creation of educational materials for kids and parents
- Provide training for promotoras to deliver lasting impact
- Be matched 1:1 up to $10,000!
- Sustain Sacred Valley Health’s broader community health efforts
Our goal: $10,000 to unlock an additional $10K in matching funds and launch this vital program.
With your help, we can give children the tools they need for healthier futures—and support local leaders who are making change happen from within their communities.
Donate today, double your impact, and be part of the solution.
