For **many children in Ahmedabad’s communities,** **school is a dream** their families have never been able to reach. W**hen one child gets that chance, the whole family begins to move forward.**

But a child cannot do it alone. **Children need a safe place, good guidance and people who believe in them.** Your gift this Diwali can make that possible.

**Every child’s learning journey is different.** At Saath, we work to make **education and learning opportunities accessible to children at different stages of life.**

- **Balghars (Ages 3-5):** Children in informal settlements start learning early through play, with care and nutritious food.
- **STEM Education (Girls 10-15):** Girls explore science, technology, engineering and maths, building skills and confidence.
- **Child-Friendly Spaces (Ages 0-12):** Children of migrant construction workers get a safe place to learn and play, with care and nutritious food every day.

Your donation helps us reach more children with learning, care and nutritious food.

**Be a part of the change this Diwali.**

Light a Diya of Education This Diwali !!

Saath founded in 1989 serves the informal sector through education, livelihood, health, & financial literacy and inclusion.

Founded in 1989, Saath Charitable Trust began with a simple idea — to help people living in slums and low-income areas live with dignity and hope. Over the years, Saath has grown into a trusted organisation that works closely with communities to make them stronger, self-reliant, and full of opportunities. Saath believes that poverty is not just about a lack of money — it is also about a lack of access, awareness, and opportunity. That is why our approach is **“Integrated Community Development.”** This means that instead of focusing on just one issue, we work on multiple needs together — education, health, livelihoods, housing, financial inclusion, and social empowerment. We bring all these under one roof so that people can improve their lives in every way.

Our journey started in Ahmedabad, and to date Saath has worked across Gujarat, Rajasthan, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra, reaching over 1 million+ individuals through direct programs and partnerships. What makes Saath different is that we don’t just work for people, we work with them. Communities participate in planning and implementing programs, co-investing their time, effort, and resources. This sense of ownership ensures that the change lasts.

**Vision:** Saath envisions inclusive and empowered communities and individuals.

**Mission:** To make human settlements equitable living environments where all residents and vulnerable people have access to health, education, essential infrastructure services and livelihood options, irrespective of their economic and social status.

**What We Do:**

**Education & Early Childhood Care:** Saath runs Balghars (community-based preschools) and Child Friendly Spaces (classes on construction sites) where young children learn, play, and grow in a safe environment. These centres also help working mothers by providing a secure space for their children during the day. We focus on early learning, nutrition, and emotional development so that every child enters school with confidence.

**Livelihoods & Skill Development:** Through programs like Udaan, Business Gym, and RWeaves, Saath helps youth, women, and artisans build sustainable incomes. We train youth in market-relevant skills, support women entrepreneurs to grow small businesses, and connect traditional artisans to modern markets. Many of our trainees have gone on to start small enterprises, secure stable jobs, or return to education.

**Urban Development & Housing:** We believe every family deserves a safe home and a healthy neighbourhood. Saath works in slum communities to improve housing, sanitation, and access to basic services like clean water, waste management, and electricity. Our Urban Resource Centres act as community hubs where people can get information, government linkages, and guidance for better living conditions.

**Health:** We organise health camps, awareness drives, and nutrition programs to promote overall well-being, especially for women and children.

**Financial Inclusion & Women Empowerment:** Saath believes financial independence is the first step toward empowerment. Our Saath Savings and Credit Cooperative Societies help women save, access small loans, and manage their finances confidently. Thousands of women have used these services to start small businesses, educate their children, and secure their families’ futures.

**Community Engagement & Governance:** Saath works to strengthen local leadership through initiatives like Urban Resource Centres. We support community people in accessing government schemes, documentation, and entitlements — making sure no one is left behind.

Saath’s work touches many lives:

- Children who dream of learning and playing safely.
- Women who want to stand on their own feet and support their families.
- Youth looking for jobs, guidance, and purpose.
- Migrant families who move to cities for a better future.
- Artisans striving to keep traditional skills alive.
- Slum residents and informal workers who build our cities but often live without basic rights and services.

**Our Way of Working:**

Saath’s model is built on trust, participation, and partnership. We believe lasting change happens when communities are part of the solution. That’s why Saath promotes co-investment — where community members, corporates, and Saath all contribute resources and ideas. This creates ownership and long-term impact. We also collaborate with corporates, government departments, NGOs, and individuals who believe in inclusive development. Over the years, Saath has partnered with leading CSR programs, local governments, and international donors — but individual supporters remain at the heart of our work.

**Our Impact:**

- Over **1 million people** reached across urban and rural India.
- **5,000+ children** gaining access to early learning and care.
- **80,000+ Youth** trained in skills that lead to employment or entrepreneurship.
- **8,000+ Women** empowered through financial literacy, savings, and business support.
- **600+ Artisans** connected to new markets.
- **30+ Slum Communities** transformed into organised, vibrant neighbourhoods.

Behind each number is a real story — of resilience, courage, and hope. Change doesn’t happen overnight — it grows from small acts of kindness, from people who care.

Every rupee given to Saath helps strengthen the foundation of a family, a child’s education, or a woman’s future. Your donation helps us expand our programs, reach new communities, and create opportunities where none existed.

When you support Saath, you are not just giving charity — you are investing in change that lasts generations.
