Zambia Harvest 2026

For the last four years, we have raised funds this time of year so that we could purchase as much of the Zambian maize harvest as possible. We start our acquisitions with the small rural farmers for whom we provided inputs at planting time, extend to the communities surrounding those growers, and ultimately find it where we can as close to our distribution communities as possible.

Then that maize is stored - currently at 110 communities spread throughout seven geographical regions - to be allocated to vulnerable community members over the twelve months that follow.

Last year we purchased around 500,000 kg for around $138,000. We would love to do more in 2026.
