Fund African Women Leading Change in Their Communities

Across Africa, women-led community organizations are the first to respond when girls are pushed out of school, when a mother cannot reach a clinic in time, or when a woman is threatened online for speaking up. They are also the last to receive funding.

Réseau des Femmes Leaders pour le Développement (RFLD) exists to change that. We are a pan-African Afrofeminist network of 670 member organizations in more than 35 countries, headquartered in Porto-Novo, Bénin, with offices in Accra, Dakar and Banjul. Since 2017 we have held Observer Status with the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights, which lets us carry the voices of local women directly into regional human rights processes.

Your gift supports grassroots groups through our re-granting programs, including the West African Feminist Fund. It also strengthens our advocacy on women's rights and the Maputo Protocol, and our work on digital safety for women activists. Every dollar reaches organizations that know their communities best and are rarely able to access international funding on their own.

US donors: gifts are made through the RFLD US Fund at Myriad USA, a 501(c)(3) public charity, and are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

Thank you for standing with African women leaders.

RFLD is an African feminist network advancing advocacy, community organizing, grants, and open-data initiatives across Africa.
