Americans expect republican government to function as described by Abraham Lincoln: "of the people, by the people, for the people"*. This has been our country's North Star, what we are always striving towards. But it's clear *we have a very long way to go**.

A vehicle to our deeply democratic future

The Grassroots Victory Fund is a program of Rank the Vote that grants money to state-based organizations who are building an army for deep democracy from the ground up. They're winning hearts, minds, and enactment campaigns that upgrade elections and government with powerful, structural reforms:

• ranked choice voting (RCV),
• proportional representation (PR),
• fair districts (FD), and
• open primaries (OP)

And they are doing it by working hand-in-hand with people right where they live and the organizations in their communities.
