**Introduction:**

Protibandhi Shishu Shiekkha O Paricharja Samity (PROSHIPS) is a non-profit and non-governmental voluntary organization operating in the Jamalpur district, Bangladesh. PROSHIPS is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities through community-based development programs. These initiatives aim to bolster economic security, broaden access to cultural opportunities, and foster independence. Priorities include education, knowledge dissemination, and prevention efforts related to teenage family life, reproductive health, and the restoration of child and human rights. Recognized by the Government of Bangladesh, PROSHIPS is registered with both the Directorate of Social Services (DSS) and the NGO Affairs Bureau (NGOAB).



**Objectives of PROSHIPS:**

The primary objective of PROSHIPS is to uplift the socio-economic conditions of the entire community. This is achieved through the empowerment of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable members, including women, children, and persons with disabilities. By ensuring equal rights and facilitating participation in mainstream development, PROSHIPS seeks to create a more inclusive society.

Since its inception in 1999, PROSHIPS has been actively engaged in community development.
