Support POWHR's work in keeping our communities safe!

We are organizing opposition to the proposed MVP Boost project, which would expand capacity at three existing MVP compressor stations in West Virginia and add a mega-sized Swann compressor station in Eastern Montgomery County, Virginia. This expansion would ramp up climate wrecking deliveries of methane gas on the mainline MVP by 30%.

We are funding this project through grassroots fundraising efforts so we can keep the project community driven, stay flexible to the needs of those being impacted, and build a sustainable monitoring system that doesn’t depend on short-term grant funding.

This monitoring effort will generate a community‑led baseline of air and noise conditions near the proposed Swann site. When we reach our goal, your support will provide:

  • Local air monitoring equipment and support
  • Local noise monitoring equipment and support
  • Water monitoring equipment and volunteer support
  • Outreach mailers and canvassing materials
  • Community event support for trainings and information sharing

To donate by check, please make your check payable to Virginia Organizing and write POWHR on the memo line. Mail to:
