We at The Realm believe in creating immediate, imaginative and theatrically vital productions that spring from the core of the text—its language, its ideas and its mysteries. We love contemporary playwrights. We love the canon of great dramatic literature from the past. We believe that, when explored and produced side by side, each provides a fresh perspective that enlivens our experience of both old and new plays. The Realm is dedicated to creating a community of like-minded artists to explore these ideas, develop new work and create productions of contemporary plays and classics at off-Broadway theaters in New York City.
