The Rosalynn Carter Institute For Caregivers drives transformative systems change to improve the strength, health, and resilience of family caregivers. People of all identities provide care to their family members, **but the experience falls disproportionately on women and girls**, with serious effects on their mental, physical, and economic health.

- 3 out of 5 caregivers in the US are women, and a significant number are women over 50.
- Caregiving disproportionately impacts women’s health. Female caregivers report higher levels of stress at every age, and also report that their health is negatively impacted. 
- More than half of all women caregivers in the US feel they did not have a choice in taking on their role.

RCI advances collaborative solutions rooted in evidence, driven by caregivers, and focused on achieving sustained impact. Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregivers

Through research and education, Vote Mama Foundation is working to make it easier for moms to run for and serve in elected office.

Vote Mama Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is building the political power of moms by identifying and researching solutions to the structural barriers moms face running for and serving in elected office.

Vote Mama Foundation research shows that moms with minor children make up less than 8% of state legislators and less than 7% of congressional representatives. Moms face extraordinary structural and cultural barriers to elected office, like the inability to afford childcare while campaigning without a salary or while commuting long distances to the capitol.

Our structural solutions seek to change the face of power in this country by tearing down those barriers - not for one electoral cycle, but for generations to come. Join us today!
