SORBA Orlando is the Orlando/Central Florida chapter of the Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association.

Founded in 2013, SORBA Orlando has grown to include eight distinct and fun trails in and around Orlando and its suburbs, with more trail miles on the way!  SORBA Orlando trails offer everything from family-friendly places to ride, endurance bike races and time trials, skills-building sections, and opportunities to give back to the community.

By partnering with the community SORBA Orlando builds and maintains our local trails. Your support goes directly to materials, workday essentials, and training needed to keep the area rolling in a fun, sustainable and safe environment.

We bring several events to the community including the annual Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day and have sponsored The Battle of Snow Hill and Markham Woods Masher endurance races for several years.

NE GA SORBA is a non-profit maintaining approximately 110 miles of multi-use trails across 10 counties in northeast Georgia.

Northeast Georgia SORBA began in 2014. We were the first “regional” chapter in SORBA. We were created from the merger of Gainesville SORBA and UC3 SORBA.  Gainesville SORBA was the first SORBA chapter created in the mid 1990’s so we have a long history in advocating and building mountain-bike and multi-use trails. We work with local, state and federal land managers in northeast Georgia to provide mountain bike access on their land.

Connecting community trails, creating a park, and protecting the Rose Creek watershed for the benefit of all.

The Rose Creek Initiative officially formed in 2004 as a group of neighbors advocating to create a small community park in an overlooked and under appreciated corner of the Capitol View Neighborhood. The group's goals also including connecting the park to the neighborhood with a walking trail and cleaning up Rose Creek at the east edge of the Capitol View. The Rose Creek Initiative officially became a 501c3 in 2022.

Northwest NC MTB Alliance is a SORBA Chapter

**Northwest NC MTB Alliance is a chapter of SORBA, the largest nonprofit mountain biking organization in the Southeastern United States.** – promoting land access, trail preservation, and new trail development on federal, state, and local lands in our region. We operate in the geographic area of Northwest NC’s mountains and foothills, including the communities of Boone, Hickory, Lenoir, Marion, Morganton, and Wilkesboro. As a subordinate chapter of SORBA, the Alliance is a non-profit organization.

**At Acorn Outdoor Learning, children engage with nature in ways that spark curiosity, creativity, and a love for exploration.**

We provide **inclusive, place-based outdoor education programs** across Washington, D.C., bringing children into local parks, community gardens, and green spaces for hands-on learning. Our programs nurture each child’s strengths, foster healthy development, and build confidence, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, all while inspiring a lifelong connection to the natural world.

Children, like acorns, carry the potential to grow strong and resilient. With guidance, care, and the right environment, they can flourish into confident individuals and lifelong stewards of the environment. Just as the Scarlet Oak, D.C.’s state tree, grows strong and provides sustenance and shelter, Acorn Outdoor Learning cultivates growth, resilience, and responsibility in every child.

**Our mission** is to nurture children’s curiosity, confidence, and connection to nature through experiences that honor the diversity and strengths of each learner. We believe that engagement with nature is possible everywhere, and early experiences in our urban ecosystem can foster a lifelong commitment to environmental stewardship.

Earth Friends provides a framework of 5 life-affirming learning modules for young children to understand all life on our planet. 

Something is missing in education, especially in the formative years known as “early childhood.” 

We call it Interconnected Awesomeness. 

This is the magic of learning that we are all connected. From the trees to the stingrays to the mushrooms to you and to me and the clothes you are wearing while you read this. 

We Are Earth Friends builds a foundation of understanding for all life on our planet through a nature-based, playful introduction to planetary systems, ecological relationships, food systems, and energy and production cycles. In the years to come, today’s children will be met with the complexity of natural and humanitarian challenges, and Earth Friends children will have a deeper understanding of their impact and their capabilities in stewarding our planet.
