Why?

1. Tutoring is one of the best ways to improve educational outcomes, which impacts the upward mobility & financial stability of young people.
2. Young people experiencing homelessness face unfathomable circumstances that disrupt their education.
3. The youth we serve & their families tell us this tutoring matters, & they keep showing up each week for their sessions despite their challenging circumstances. 
4. And their progress reports show that what we are doing is indeed making a difference. 

This is why I do what I do.

My Private Professor Foundation's mission is to expand access to high-quality tutoring to students experiencing homelessness. 

My Private Professor Foundation is the 501(c)(3) charitable arm of My Private Professor LLC, & was created with the mission of expanding access to consistent, high-quality, individualized, academic support to students experiencing homelessness & in underserved communities across the country.

For over 9 years, My Private Professor’s philanthropic efforts have evolved to best meet the needs of the students we serve in underserved communities, from donating funds to advance the efforts of educational nonprofits, to providing grants for enrichment classes & academic workshops, to sponsoring tutoring hours to students residing in shelters.

Education is a game-changer in uplifting the next generation, & tutoring is one of the best ways to positively impact educational outcomes. Sadly, students experiencing homelessness face multiple barriers that negatively impact their educational journeys.

Paying our tutors to provide exceptional free tutoring to students experiencing homelessness has made a meaningful difference in the lives of so many, in terms of increased grades, understanding of the subject matter, & confidence.

Indeed, our greatest challenge is trying to meet the accelerating demand for more tutoring hours for more students in need.

This 501(c)(3) charitable arm enables philanthropic leaders & organizations to join forces with us to provide more tutoring for those who need it most.
