Martha's Vineyard Film Society

The Martha’s Vineyard Film Society, founded in 1999, is a member-supported non-profit dedicated to presenting the best in independent films, movie classics, doc…umentaries, and world cinema for diverse audiences of all ages throughout the year. The Film Society operates the MV Film Center, and the historic Capawock and Strand Movie Theaters. In addition to showing films, it presents live broadcasts of Met Opera, Bolshoi Ballet, and National Theater London. It also presents film-related speakers, educational, and community programs and events. The Film Society produces the MV International Film Festival, the MV Environmental Film Festival, SPECTRUM Film Festival, FILMUSIC Festival, and the MV DOC Week.
