My name is Molly, and I am running in the New York City marathon this November! Unlike my siblings, I am not necessarily fast and don’t necessarily love training. Alas. I am 10 weeks into training and have 10 weeks left. As it gets tougher and my calves get tighter, I wanted to assign some purpose & reach out to my loved ones.
I have been supporting Living Goods monthly since 2021, driven by a desire to improve women’s health globally and reallocate resources to people who deserve it.
“A 2013 randomized control trial of Living Goods supported Community Health Workers demonstrated a 27% reduction in under-5 mortality at an estimated average cost of $68 per life-year saved. A 2021 randomized control trial further linked Living Good’s community health program in Uganda to a 28% reduction in child mortality.”
See above. These people are change-makers in Kenya, Uganda, and Burkina Faso, training and compensating locals to deliver life-saving care. They support pregnant women, sexual/reproductive health, immunization, children with pneumonia/malaria, and address the impacts of climate change. It’s remarkable.
Please partner with me in support of these dedicated difference-makers.
With so much gratitude, Molly
