Turning 40, Feeding 100.

This year I turn 40 and my birthday wish is simple: to help 100 children nourish to flourish.
In Botswana, where over half of children live in poverty, malnutrition is one of the greatest barriers they face. 1 in 3 children under 5 is stunted from chronic undernutrition. At Learn To Play, we see it every day: little ones arriving hungry, listless, and struggling to focus.
The nutritious porridge we serve, fortified with protein and fibre, calming rooibos, natural honey, peanut butter, whole grains, and fruit when possible, is often their only healthy meal of the day. Without it, children face diarrhoea, poor growth, and lifelong learning difficulties. For some, it may be the only protection against the devastating impact of conditions like foetal alcohol syndrome.
It costs just P5 (40¢ / 30p) per child per day to provide this nourishment. That’s P1,000 (about $75 / £60) to feed one child for an entire year of 200 school days.
If you’d like to celebrate with me, I invite you to give to this birthday fundraiser instead of giving gifts. Every single dollar, pound, or pula goes directly to children’s meals.
Nourish to Flourish. That’s my 40th birthday wish.
Thank you, from my heart (and from 100 full little tummies). 💛
