Help the Kayapo conserve the Amazon

Portions of the Amazon rainforest are under intense deforestation pressure, yet in the highly threatened southeastern Amazon in Brazil, the Kayapo Indigenous people are protecting an area of 9 million hectares (the size of Portugal) in partnership with our organization (ICFC) and other funders. The Kayapo have been effective at defending the largest tract of protected tropical forest anywhere in the world, but serious challenges remain. Funds are needed for guard posts, surveillance and protection, and to continue developing the culturally compatible sustainable enterprises, training and education that they Kayapo wish to have.

Thanks so much for any support. The Kayapo have succeeded for decades and we must help them continue the fight.
