Chairperson of Phidim Municipality-4, Upendra Lawati, confirmed that the bridge was washed away by the flood. The Bailey bridge had been constructed following the destruction of the original bridge by flooding on June 17, 2023. The floods have also washed away the Feme Kholabo Motorable Bridge on the Phidim-Falot road and the Pucca bridge connecting Phalelung 5 and 6 of the districts. The river swollen due to incessant rainfall also damaged physical infrastructures.

Disaster affected public in these two districts are now in a difficult situation to live due to their damaged houses, crops and livelihoods. So far, flood affected public have not received any kind of significant assistance from the Government of Nepal as well as other donors.  Local municipalities and some social/philanthropic groups have provided occasional assistance during or immediately after the floods.
