Hull Seaside Animal Rescue (HSAR) was founded in December 1999 by a group of concerned area residents in response to the large number of homeless cats in the town of Hull. HSAR started as an active trap/neuter/release (TNR) program to address the large homeless cat colonies in our community. Today, Hull has far fewer feral cats as a result.

HSAR is an no-profit, no-kill organization which rescues and finds forever homes for needy cats and kittens. Many of the cats brought to our shelter have been abandoned and left homeless in South Shore towns or the city of Boston. Each cat that comes to us is checked by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, and provided with much love and affection. Our adoption coordinator then finds the best adoptive family for the cat's needs.

In May of 2015 HSAR purchased its own forever home! With the help of many volunteers, the shelter moved from its rental space to its current location at 487 Nantasket Ave. We are so proud to be able to continue the work we do in our very own home. The cats have a free-roaming and comfortable environment to live in while they wait for their own forever homes!
