It is estimated that there are up to 20,000 children orphaned in Gaza. Some are the sole survivors of their family, most are aged between six and ten years of age and over 5% are injured or in need of specialist medical care.

The program aims to respond to the orphan crisis on multiple fronts, from addressing immediate needs to establishing a lasting support system that orphans can rely on until they turn 18.

As famine tightens its grip and markets collapse, Gaza Soup Kitchen is still boiling pots—feeding 1,000 people every day with dignity and determination.

We were the first soup kitchen in North Gaza to lean on local farmers and forage from nature to keep people alive. When others paused, we adapted. When supplies ran out, we improvised.

Today, we operate across 11 kitchens, run a community clinic, and deliver clean water and hot meals to hospitals—even in the hardest-hit zones.

This is survival work, done by people living through the very crisis they’re responding to.

Eliza Society for the prevention of Cruelty to Children was established in Greece in 2008, aiming at the protection of children suffering abuse and neglect. ELIZA’s initiatives focus on the Enlightment and Mobilization of the society against child maltreatment, as well as the Detection and Identification of child abuse cases, so as to encourage measures for the relief of children exposed to violence.
Eliza’s programs are designed in cooperation with highly credible bodies and institutions having the necessary knowledge and experience to act effectively and transform the lives of vulnerable children: altering adults’ stance, training professionals who work with children since preschool age, physicians and nurses, police officers, creating hospital units for the recognition and management of cases of suspected abuse are at the center of our attention.

SORBA Orlando is the Orlando/Central Florida chapter of the Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association.

Founded in 2013, SORBA Orlando has grown to include eight distinct and fun trails in and around Orlando and its suburbs, with more trail miles on the way!  SORBA Orlando trails offer everything from family-friendly places to ride, endurance bike races and time trials, skills-building sections, and opportunities to give back to the community.

Caritas Manila believes that *education* is the *best social equalizer.*

YSLEP is Caritas Manila's flagship program. It forms future leaders from the poor by *providing scholarships and formation sessions* to around 5,000 youths nationwide.

**Caritas Damayan**

Damayan is the umbrella program of Caritas Manila that covers: (1) preventive health, (2) plant-based food security, (3) feeding and nutrition, (4) crisis intervention, and (5) disaster relief and rehabilitation.

Its sub-programs are:

1. **All is Well** - Through the help of its partners in the medical field, Caritas Manila *offers health services in 28 clinics* in Mega Manila.
2. **Gen129** -*\* This program advocates lifestyle change through plant-based living. In this program, we teach the poor \*how to grow their own food* for a more sustainable future.
3. **Munting Pag-asa** -*\* This program aims to \*counter malnutrition* by providing healthy supplemental meals to poor malnourished children for 120 days.
4. **Unang Yakap** -This program provides healthy meals and vitamins to *poor pregnant/lactating mothers* for 120 days to ensure the optimum health of the mother and their child. Beneficiaries also receive seminars on financial literacy to improve their living condition.
5. **Caritas in Action** - In cooperation with Radio Veritas 846, the CIA program provides medical, legal, hospital bill, laboratory, psychosocial, and burial assistance.
6. **Cadamay** - It *provides emergency relief response* within 24 to 72 hours by distributing food packs, hygiene kits, bedding materials, and shelter repair kits. It also provides livelihood assistance to victims of calamities and church reconstruction assistance to affected parishes.

**Restorative Justice**

It is a program designed to *help Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs)* heal their relationships with their families and the community. It also aims to help them be reintegrated into society as self-sufficient individuals.

**Sanlakbay**

Sanlakbay para sa Pagbabago ng Buhay is a parish/community-based rehabilitation program that aims to transform lives, restore human dignity, and *reintegrate* d*rug dependents* into their communities.

**Segunda Mana**

It is the donated goods program of Caritas Manila that *converts in-kind donations into cash* in our 47 charity outlets in Mega Manila to:

- Fund over 5000 tech-voc and college YSLEP scholars
- Support the livelihood of over 300 micro-entrepreneurs and their families from informal sectors like BASECO and Payatas
- Strongly promote the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle)

**Institute for Servant Leadership and Stewardship (ISLaS)**

ISLaS is the *volunteer arm of Caritas Manila* which mobilizes around 5,000 volunteers within the Archdiocese of Manila.

Parish-based leaders and volunteers undergo continuous training and values formation that mold them to become committed servant leaders. These volunteers enable us to efficiently and effectively implement various social services and development programs for poor families in their communities.

We are musicians from Ukraine, raising money at our concerts to support our country, our city, and our people.

**Who We Are**

KMLX began as the Philanthropic Arm of the Ukrainian musical group [Kommuna Lux](https://kommunalux.com/).  When war came to their country in 2022, these musicians soon realized they could do more good with their instruments than with guns.  They began touring Europe to support charitable causes in Odesa.  [This video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOIU5HF19XA) shows some of the ways they spent their donations that year.

That success led them to the USA, where they founded this 501-c3 nonprofit to streamline the donation process.  Soon two more music groups joined the cause, sending money to projects in Lviv and Kyiv.

99.9% of your donation goes to Ukraine.  We have no paid staff, no office, no overhead--our only "administrative costs" are for our annual business license, wire transfer fees when we send money to Ukraine, and occasional supplies.  You can donate to KMLX with confidence that your money WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE in Ukraine!

**2026 Update:**  Exciting times ahead!  Continuing with our partnerships with the bands Yagody and Vopli Vidipliassova, we have multiple tours happening this year.  Look at our Projects to see how the different bands are distributing their donations.

Kommuna Lux continues to explore options with the Rotary Club of Ukraine, after successfully funding the Burn Unit Beds project for hospitals at the front lines.  The project for Odesa is now halfway funded, thanks to a generous contribution by the Rotary Club of Ithaca, NY after our concert in September.

**2025 Update**:  Our success has taken a new turn!  Several other bands from Ukraine are also raising funds through KMLX!

All charity efforts from the tour support[ Misto Dobra](https://misto-dobra.com.ua/en/home/) (The City of Goodness), a Ukrainian shelter offering emergency care, housing, and rehabilitation for women and children affected by war. Donations are directed through the [Kraina Mriy Foundation, ](https://www.olegskrypka.com/)founded by VV’s frontman Oleg Skrypka, one of Ukraine’s most trusted cultural and humanitarian platforms.

**Our History**

Kommuna Lux decided to tour the United States in 2023, in hopes of connecting with Americans, raising awareness and empathy for the war in Ukraine, and raising some money too.  The tour was a huge success on all fronts!  Donations were so generous that we founded this 501-c3 nonprofit for our future tours. With two US tours planned in 2024, the band felt like they could strive for something greater than the small, local Odesa projects they had always supported in the past.  They soon found a willing partner in the [Rotary E-Club of Ukraine](https://rotaryeclubukraine.org.ua/), who had numerous projects in need of funds.  The musicians decided to help supply a new type of hospital bed for victims of severe burns, to hospitals serving the front lines.  That project was funded and completed in 2025!

Now the band has chosen to support two Rotary projects dedicated to children:  [the construction of a new playground in their beloved Odesa](https://rotaryd2232ukraine.org/rcprojects/christmas24/project?prid=133), and a larger project titled "Ukrainian Children Don't Have a Stop Button: Early Intervention Services in Conflict Zones."  For every dollar donated at a Kommuna Lux concert, 30% will go directly to these Rotary projects. 

The other 70% of your donation will support our regular grassroots causes, such as food, water, and medicine to besieged cities, bomb shelters and other safety projects in our hometown of Odesa, and our direct support of the heroes at the front with gear, tools, and vehicles.

Taimaka has reimagined pediatric malnutrition treatment to make it **more cost-effective and scalable**. We’ve developed a malnutrition treatment model that is:

As the American Bar Association reveals, Asian elders, especially those from immigrant backgrounds, endure more social isolation and mental health struggles than their peers due to linguistics, financial, and cultural barriers. These factors combined significantly impact the mental and emotional well-being of Asian American older adults in a city where depression and suicide among older adult immigrants are on the rise.

Dear Cherished Supporter,

Thank you for taking a moment to connect with our mission. We are so grateful for the opportunity to share our journey with you—a journey born from a deep, instinctive need to care for our Elders. **In March 2020, at the onset of the global pandemic, we leapt into action to support our Asian American elder community, who were facing devastating food insecurity, isolation, and loneliness.**

While many believe the urgency that defined the pandemic has passed, **the reality for our Elders remains critical. Even now, 1 in 3 Asian American older adults live below the poverty line.** These challenges are not new. For decades, this community has been overlooked, its struggles masked by the harmful “model minority” myth, which conceals the deep inequities faced by Asian American Elders. This, combined with language barriers, technology gaps, and economic hardship, means that many continue to lack access to the resources and care they deserve.

Out of a guttural instinct to protect and uplift our Elders, we **transformed our 300 square-foot apartment on the cusp of Chinatown and the Lower East Side into a sanctuary of cultural resonance and care.** We hyperfocused on those in the most critical state, providing emergency food relief and addressing their emotional needs through handwritten notes in their native languages, making sure our Elders felt seen, valued, and dignified.

**These care packages are more than just food—they are a lifeline.** Filled with culturally meaningful lunchboxes and fresh groceries beloved in Asian immigrant households like bok choy, rice, mung beans (and more!), all lovingly bundled inside decorated bags, attached with notes of love & joy that deliver warmth, connection, and belonging.

As our work evolved beyond emergency relief, we **built Heart of Dinner into a nonprofit focused on sustainable care.** Thanks to our incredible community of donors, partners, volunteers, and small team of staff, we have transformed into a **501(c)(3) public charity that continues to nourish and uplift our Elders, week after week.**

By Summer 2024, **we have delivered over 200,000 meals to beloved Elders living in significantly under-resourced and underinvested communities across New York City.** And our work is far from over. The challenges our Elders face didn’t begin with the pandemic, and they certainly won’t end with it. **These hardships are rooted in long-standing societal and governmental neglect, where policies and systems have historically overlooked the needs of this community.**

**Looking forward, we have plans to build Heart of Dinner's own delivery infrastructure with a fleet of electric vehicles, hire a dedicated team of drivers trained in our protocols—which emphasize cultural respect and thoughtful care when serving our Elders—and we aim to increase our care package distribution by 25%.** **These efforts will build upon our ongoing commitment to delivering care packages to our Elders and existing beneficiaries with the same high level of deep care and compassion.**

Strongest Hearts intends to end that threat.  Our non-profit is designed to exclusively work to find a cure or treatment, educate and advocate for this deadly disease.  DMD is the number one killer for adolescents in the US and we search to find a solution that will help over 90% of the DMD and BMD community.  

Like so many people and families, we have felt fear, anxiety and hopelessness and have received massively conflicting data from doctors and websites.  It is time to stop that cycle and move towards a day when we can say that a diagnosis of any muscular dystrophy, while unsettling, is no longer a tragedy.  We truly believe that we have the people, the skill and the technology to end this scourge once and for all.

GirlTREK began with a simple but life-saving promise between two friends: to walk their way to better health and inspire others to do the same; and it is now a grassroots movement powered by everyday women. We are the women we serve. Now, GirlTrek is mobilizing this constituency for its boldest mission yet: a Care Crusade to extend Black women’s life expectancy by 10 years in a decade. These bold campaigns—scaling to 5 million members, establishing community wellness hubs “Care Villages”, training a Blue Brigade of health responders, and advancing policies to dismantle systemic barriers—will build lasting systems of care and inspire future generations.

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international medical humanitarian organization created by doctors and journalists in France in 1971.

In over 70 countries around the world, MSF saves lives by providing medical aid where it is needed most—in armed conflicts, epidemics, natural disasters, and other crises.  The people who work for MSF are doctors, nurses, midwives, epidemiologists, water-and-sanitation experts and many others who combine their professional expertise with a commitment to the world’s most vulnerable people.  Each year, these medical teams run close to 470 projects where they care for millions of people.  

As an organization, MSF is neutral and operates independently of any political, military, or religious agendas. It does not take sides in armed conflicts, provides care based on needs alone, and advocates for increased independent access to victims of conflict and disaster as required under international humanitarian law. Medical teams conduct evaluations on the ground to determine a population's medical needs before opening programs, aiming to fill gaps that exist (rather than replicating services that are already offered) or reach communities that are not being assisted.  Over the years, the organization has been the recipient of several awards that recognize its work, including the 1998 Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize, the 1999 Nobel Peace Prize, the 2012 J. William Fulbright Prize for International Understanding, the 2015 Lasker-Bloomberg Public Service Award, and the 2017 Pardes Humanitarian Prize for Mental Health.
