Help Rebuild Lives After the Rasuwa Floods, Nepal

On 26 August 2026, a sudden and devastating flood in the Bhote Koshi River caused widespread destruction across Rasuwa and Nuwakot, Nepal. Homes, roads, bridges, markets, livelihoods, and essential services have been severely damaged, leaving thousands of families displaced and vulnerable.

Many affected families are now struggling to access safe shelter, food, clean drinking water, sanitation, healthcare, and sources of income. The loss of crops, livestock, household belongings, and productive assets has made recovery even more difficult, especially as winter approaches.

Your donation can help families move from crisis toward recovery.

This project will support approximately 1,000 of the most affected and vulnerable households in severely affected communities of Rasuwa and Nuwakot. Assistance will include emergency food and clean water, health services and medicines, psychosocial support, winterisation and essential household items, dignity and hygiene kits, and livelihood recovery assistance.

Beyond immediate relief, the project will help communities rebuild stronger and prepare for future disasters. Support will strengthen local disaster preparedness, early warning and communication systems, community responders, and inclusive recovery planning, with particular attention to women, children, older people, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable and marginalised groups.
