Welcome to our Gifts of Giving page!
As we celebrate our wedding, one of the greatest gifts you can give us is to support causes that mean the most to us. Over our 7 years together (and now 3.5 years in our home in Bernardsville) we’ve built a life grounded in community, curiosity, and care for the world around us.
We’ve chosen the following organizations because they reflect the things we value deeply:
- New Jersey Audubon – Our hometown is rich with wildlife and beautiful outdoor spaces, and we’ve recently discovered the joy of birdwatching right from our deck. We believe in protecting biodiversity and supporting conservation efforts so these resources remain vibrant for generations. One of New Jersey’s oldest and largest conservation nonprofits, NJ Audubon is headed up in our hometown! They foster environmental awareness and protects our state's wildlife and habitats through advocacy, education, research, and nature centers.
- Yellow Brick Road Rescue NJ – This small, NJ-based nonprofit brought us our sweet cat, Mulligan. They respond quickly to animals in need, often in emergency situations, and every dollar goes directly to fostering, medical care, and helping pets find safe, loving homes. They're community-driven, delivering big impact with a smaller budget; a little will go a long way here!
- National and Local Public Radio – We believe that accurate, factual, and free news and emergency alerts should be accessible to everyone. Supporting local NPR and PBS stations helps keep our communities informed. Congress has rescinded $1.1 billion in funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, a key support channel for local NPR and PBS station. While donations surged (with public media raising tens of millions to help fill the gap) many rural and smaller stations remain at risk, with staffing and community programming under pressure. By supporting public media, you help sustain vital reporting, education, and connection in our communities.
- Friends of the Bernardsville Public Library – As a proud board member, Nina has seen firsthand the library’s impact as a hub for learning, culture, and connection. Ryan has been there every step of the way, supporting events that keep our library thriving.
