Founded in 2017, Five One Labs is an international startup incubator that provides training, mentorship, and access to funding for aspiring conflict-affected entrepreneurs, including refugees, migrants and displaced individuals, as well as members of the host community. Our vision is to develop an inclusive network of innovators and entrepreneurs globally with the support, skills, and connections to impact their communities positively and to provide advisory support to scalable startups looking to launch or grow their businesses.

Based in Barranquilla, Colombia and with locations in Iraq, we work closely with underserved conflict affected individuals and local entrepreneurs to nurture their potential and help them to launch, grow and scale their businesses.

Our Programs Include:

1. Startup Incubator: Intensive, full-time, three-month program training innovative early-stage entrepreneurs to turn their business ideas into a reality.
2. Female Founders Fellowship: A program specifically designed to support female entrepreneurs with tailored training, skills-sharing, mentorship, and advisory services.
3. Accelerator: A world-class, six-month program that supports later-stage entrepreneurs in expanding and professionalizing their startups through providing tailored and practical support
4. Startup Bootcamps: Short, high-impact training sessions designed to give entrepreneurs the tools and knowledge they need to launch their businesses.

Impact

Since our inception in 2017, Five One Labs has supported over 1000 entrepreneurs, leading to the creation of thriving businesses that are serving their communities, creating jobs and creating new opportunities. We have also achieved the following impact through our work:

• Reached over 10,000 people through our programs, events and workshops.
• 56% of our seed funding has been awarded to women entrepreneurs
• 41% of our program participants have been displaced or affected by conflict, or returned back to their country
• Over $900,000 in funding awarded to high potential startups through competitive pitch competitions
• 11 intensive 3 month Incubator programs have been completed to date
