The Rapid Response Fund filled critical time-sensitive funding gaps created by the suspension of US foreign aid.

The U.S. government's cuts to foreign aid have created an urgent crisis — high-impact, evidence-based programs in global health, extreme poverty, and humanitarian aid are suddenly at risk. Organizations delivering lifesaving interventions now face unexpected shortfalls that could cost lives. We can’t afford to let that happen.

Times of crisis require swift and decisive action. That’s why **The Life You Can Save** and **Founders Pledge** jointly launched the Rapid Response Fund — a fast, strategic way to bridge gaps in funding and keep the most effective programs running at full capacity open for donations from all who care about the impact of this crisis.

We collaborated with experts and former USAID leaders at **Project Resource Optimization** (PRO) to identify and support the most cost-effective interventions in global health & development. Our recommended partners are among the best in the world at turning dollars into impact, but they now face an unprecedented funding crunch.

This fund provided urgent bridge support and sustained essential services for our recommended funding opportunities while also allowing us the agility to seize new high-impact opportunities as they arose in a rapidly shifting landscape. Every dollar you donated was directed where it was needed most.

If someone told you they could save you $0.25 out of $100 dollars but hundreds of thousands of people would die as a result who would ask for that last 25 cents? That’s what the United States has done by shutting down USAID. And if you were going to insist on that last 25 cents would you at least give them fair warning. Wouldn’t you?

As a human I want to make meaningful contribution towards fellow human beings many of whom have not been as fortunate as I have been at birth. Offcourse this is not for any fault of their own. So I am pledging my support in these trying times.

I gave because this is a particularly critical time to save a high # of lives per dollar spent.
