As many of you know, March 29th is my birthday and it's coming up! As many of you also know, The Musk/Trump Administration cuts to USAID have been devastating to impoverished people around the world, depriving them of life-saving food aid and medical care. 

While private charity will never be a replacement for a sustained, taxpayer-funded program for our world's most vulnerable populations, I still believe in doing everything each of us individually can do to fill the funding gaps and save the lives we can save. That's why this year, I'm matching the first $329 in donations to the Rapid Response Fund that The Life You Can Save has set up in collaboration with the Founder's Pledge! The Life You Can Save uses the principles of effective altruism to identify the highest impact charities and their new Rapid Response Fund is aimed specifically at funding the organizations that are best equipped to make up for the recent decimation of US aid.
