True Greatness Means Being Generous, Gracious, and Global
Recent nationalistic trends and "Make America Great Again" policies have led to significant USAID funding cuts, threatening critical health initiatives across the globe and specifically in Sub-Saharan Africa. These cuts endanger vulnerable communities and undermine years of progress fighting disease and poverty.
Our "Split The G" Challenge takes the "G" in "MAGA" and expands its meaning. Instead of focusing solely on "Greatness" defined by national self-interest, we're splitting this G to represent a more complete vision of what true greatness means. We believe genuine greatness must include being:
- Generous with our resources
- Gracious in our approach
- Global in our outlook
This connection is particularly meaningful because Guinness has a massive presence across Africa, especially in countries like Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya, where it's not just a popular beverage but a cultural institution. These same regions are now facing the harshest impacts of international aid cuts.
By participating in this challenge, you're helping bridge the gap created by funding cuts while sending a powerful message: genuine greatness extends beyond borders and embraces our responsibilities to the global community.
