The Rossini Opera Festival is passionately dedicated to nurturing the next generation of performers, supporting their future careers, and ensuring that Rossini's music and heritage continue to reach audiences globally.
Our key initiative is the Accademia Rossiniana “Alberto Zedda,” an annual, intensive specialization course in Rossini's unique style of bel canto. Each year, we welcome around 20 young singers from all over the world in** Pesaro. The program provides them with a complete set of tools to launch a professional career, offering high-level lessons, masterclasses, and invaluable meetings with industry experts.
Last year, also thanks to our generous donors, the Accademia achieved significant results:
- 19 scholarships were awarded, fully supporting students during their stay in Pesaro.
- 9 nationalities between the students, including Italy, Russia, China, Azerbaijan, France, Japan, Poland, UK, and Ireland.
- Students delivered 14 performances, starring in special concerts and the celebrated opera Il viaggio a Reims.
- The singers completed 229 hours of intensive study and rehearsal.
The Accademia is committed to providing essential economic support to these emerging artists through scholarships, covering their living expenses while they train, rehearse, and prepare to perform on the world’s greatest stages.
You can help us carry on this vital work. By supporting us in providing scholarships, covering living expenses in Pesaro, and funding new opportunities, you directly invest in the future of these Rossini voices!
