The Lady Liberty Initiative
Lighting a flame of liberty to empower the future.
This initiative forms part of the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States. It brings together leading figures from the worlds of culture, creativity, and innovation around a shared project.
Your contribution supports both the production of a landmark immersive exhibition with our partner GEDEON Programmes. Together, this partnership embodies the vitality of Franco-American artistic dialogue and the transmission of a shared cultural legacy between the two nations.
About the Partners
Fondation des États-Unis (FEU)
Recognized as a public interest institution since 2010, the Fondation des États-Unis has been a permanent residence of the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris since 1930. It serves as a vibrant hub for artistic creation and intellectual exchange, welcoming artists, students, researchers, and cultural innovators within a dynamic international network. Its Board of Directors, chaired by the Rector of the Universities of Paris and of the Île de France academic region, ensures its independence, stability, and enduring institutional prestige.
In preparation for its centennial in 2030, the Fondation has launched the FEU Second Century Campaign, a central initiative that reflects its commitment to innovation and transatlantic dialogue. The campaign supports the creation of a new Franco American cultural production, alongside the renovation and expansion of scholarship opportunities for the Fifth Floor Artistic Residency, located at the crown of its Art Deco building. Through these efforts, the Fondation advances artistic stewardship while strengthening cultural ties between France and the United States.
As part of this initiative, the Fondation proudly endorses the production and artistic vision of GEDEON Programmes and its immersive division, GEDEON Experience, whose work forms a cornerstone of the campaign.

This immersive experience will retrace the history and universal symbolism of the Statue of Liberty, an enduring icon of the friendship between France and the United States.
