On December 17, 2025, the Fondation des États-Unis celebrates the Lady Liberty Initiative and its patrons, in presence of its partners, GEDEON Experiences and VIGUIER.
Program highlights: a festive buffet, live performances, and an exclusive presentation of Lady Liberty’s Great Adventure and the 5th Floor Renovation plans dedicated to our artists in residence. This event is organized as part of the celebrations of the 250th anniversary of American Independence in 2026.

Fondation des États-Unis (FEU)
Recognized as a public-interest institution since 2010, the Fondation des États-Unis has been a permanent residence of the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris since 1930. It serves as a vibrant hub for artistic creation and intellectual exchange, welcoming artists, students, researchers, and cultural innovators. Its Board of Directors, chaired by the Rector of the Universities of Paris and of the Île-de-France academic region, ensures its independence, stability, and enduring institutional prestige.
The Fondation des États-Unis offers a unique platform in Paris dedicated to innovative cultural projects, at the heart of a dynamic international network. As part of this initiative, the Fondation is undertaking the renovation of its fifth floor—a historic space that has hosted generations of American artists since the 1930s. This renovated area will become a modern center for artistic and cultural exchange, strengthening collaboration between France and the United States.
GEDEON Experiences is a leading creative agency specializing in immersive storytelling and cutting-edge audiovisual productions. Driven by a passion for bringing history to life, the agency designs compelling narratives that transport audiences across time and space. Through state-of-the-art technologies, GEDEON Experiences makes cultural heritage accessible to all, offering experiences that are both educational and emotionally engaging.
In celebration of the 250th anniversary of American independence, the agency is creating and producing the virtual reality exhibition Lady Liberty’s Great Adventure, to be presented at the Musée d’Orsay from September 2026 to January 2027. This immersive experience will retrace the history and universal symbolism of the Statue of Liberty—an enduring icon of the friendship between France and the United States.
VIGUIER is an international architecture, urban planning, and landscape design firm founded in 1992 by Jean-Paul Viguier. Based in Paris, Brussels, and Casablanca, the firm brings together a multidisciplinary team whose expertise allows it to take on complex and ambitious projects.
Within this initiative, VIGUIER is responsible for the architectural design and renovation of the Fondation des États-Unis’ fifth floor. The project aims to revitalize a historic heritage site while adapting it to the contemporary needs of artistic creation and cultural dialogue.
A Major Franco-American Celebration
This initiative forms part of the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States. It brings together leading figures from the worlds of culture, creativity, and innovation around a shared project.
