Welcome, and thank you for stepping into Fire Circle.

We're so incredibly grateful that you're here.
Fire Circle is a community-built gathering space that is coming to life through the hands, hearts, and generosity of hundreds of people. What started as a small vision has grown into a dynamic, multi-faceted project, and we're honored to be ushering it into form together. Fire Circle will make its debut at Burning Man 2026, but it was never imagined as a one-time installation. Our hope is for Fire Circle to continue evolving long after the event - to travel, adapt, and become an ongoing community project that creates spaces for meaningful connection wherever it goes.
Right now, we're in the exciting phase of bringing this vision into reality. We're fundraising to begin purchasing materials, fabricating the fire pit, building infrastructure, and supporting the many artists, builders, and volunteers who are making this project possible. Every contribution helps transform sketches, conversations, and dreams into a place that people can actually gather around.
Whether you're contributing financially, joining the build crew, tending the fires, or simply believing in what we're creating, you're becoming part of the story. Every gift, every hour, every conversation helps shape this place. We truly cannot thank you enough.
We hope Fire Circle becomes more than an installation. We hope it becomes a living home for meaningful connection, reflection, laughter, music, storytelling, and the timeless act of gathering around a shared fire. From these gatherings, we hope to cultivate relationships that ripple outward into acts of service, earth stewardship, reciprocity, and the ongoing work of caring for one another and the living world.
Thank you for helping bring it to life.
Any amount helps build momentum. Contribute even $15 to account for adding a bundle of firewood to the fire and know that you have become part of the Fire Circle family and been a part of something meaningful.
With love and thanks,
-Fire Circle Family
A shared sacred hearth forming a living center for warmth, conversation and prayer.
Gathering around fire.
A community practice as old as human history itself.
A place of warmth. A place of simplicity. A place of depth.
*BONUS - The first five donors to contribute $10,000 or more will receive one of the one-of-a-kind custom lamps from the installation. A deeply special piece that will carry the element of water into the installation through caustic lighting, and serve as a thread of connection after the installation’s assembly. Reach out for more details.
We all share a deep history and primal connection to communing around a flame - whether it be a candle at dinner or a camp fire with loved ones - consciously or not, you have been cultivating a relationship with the Grandfather spirit.
This is an invitation to gather around a flame to learn and celebrate a deeper connection with the history of fire through shared company, storytelling, ceremony, music and supportive programming.
Fire Circle will be activated Sunday to Sunday, from sunset to sunrise, with a series of offerings taking place around the fire three times a night. A team of experienced fire tenders will be present at all times to facilitate a dynamic, safe, welcoming space.
Found on the 00:00 axis in deep playa, in energetic alignment with the Center Camp, The Man, and The Temple.
This installation carries the intention of honoring the land on which Burning Man takes place and acknowledging the deeper histories that exist beneath Black Rock City. Burning Man often embodies values of participation, inclusion, gifting, stewardship, radical self-expression, and communal care - principles that have been practiced within certain cultures around the world for countless generations. The ethos of Fire Circle is to bridge the principles of Burning Man with humanity's shared ancestral wisdom.
In alignment with this year's theme, Axis Mundi, Fire Circle serves as a node for Black Rock City to tie into a global network of communities: a place where ancient ways meet the contemporary world in the spirit of respect, reciprocity and shared experience. Through the simple act of gathering around a shared fire, the installation invites participants into a lineage of human connection that transcends geography, culture and time.
One of Fire Circle’s core intentions is to foster meaningful relationships with Indigenous wisdom keepers, cultural practitioners, and earth stewards. We are actively working to invite Indigenous collaborators into this project - as advisors, fire tenders, teachers, artists, and valued collaborators engaged in an ongoing relationship of exchange, care, and reciprocity within the project.
Making this possible depends on our ability to provide real support - funding travel, honoraria, lodging, and other needs so that participation is accessible and reciprocal.
A portion of funds raised through Fire Circle will also be directed toward Indigenous-led initiatives and stewardship efforts connected to the lands and relationships that inform this work. This includes support for Northern Paiute communities whose ancestral homelands include the Black Rock Desert region where Burning Man takes place, as well as contributions to the Adopt A Native Elder program in Salt Lake City, Utah, an organization with which members of our core team have a personal connection.
These commitments are part of a broader intention to ensure that Fire Circle is not only inspired by the traditions of gathering around fire, but also actively supports the living communities who continue to carry forward place-based knowledge, cultural continuity, and earth stewardship today. Our hope is to approach this work with respect, reciprocity, and a long-term commitment to listening, learning, and relationship-building.
