Youth Education and Food Access

Youth education access and gleaning to expand produce donations. We teach sustainable farming, environmental stewardship, and nutrition through field trips, school break camps, tailored class trips, and afterschool care. Funding provides scholarships, so this educational enrichment is available to all Santa Cruz youth. We want to expand our organic produce donations through gleaning (food recovery) this increases the amount we can donate by +40,000lbs/yr, which feeds around 2,500 individuals.
