The proposed DOVE College of nursing will cater to the education needs of 100 girls every year in the sector of health. This is a 4 year course in Tamil Nadu. Once completed the trained up nurses will get career opportunities making their future safe
There is craze for the 4 year B.Sc. nursing course in Tamil Nadu. The management has experience in the field of education as most of the Board members are having vast knowledge in this field serving at the school and college sector. The plan to start a nursing college was well discussed and at the take off level. There is an intake of 100 students at the beginning. The land and some infrastructure is already put into place. The proposal for starting the college and getting permission from the state and central nursing board has been prepared with consultation from experts. The availability of staff is made possible from the proposed college area. There is great need to go for this course for girls from marginalized communities in this particular area.

DOVE is a registered society in Tamil Nadu having its activities in the field of education and health. There are already a number of projects being implemented successfully. The Board members are experienced in the field of education. They have both knowledge and experience having doctor among others in the Board. A number of girls were helped to complete nursing education in a span of 20 years after the society started functioning in the year 2000. There is well placed staff structure and cordial cooperation among government offices. There is good name earned among the people in the project area. We have our own website and well placed in social media. There are people in the Board having administrative capability.
This project has the following objectives
1) To give health related education to a number of higher secondary completed girls in Tamil Nadu
2) To start a B.Sc. nursing college with all the modern facilities conducive for nursing education
3) To cater to quality nursing training competent to work in this sector every year.
4) Apart from service there is good opportunity to improve the economic condition of poor families.
AMOUNT NEEDED TO START THE NURSING COLLEGE
$540,063.00 is the goal set for the proposed nursing college. Thu=is will include the construction cost of the nursing college buildings including medical labs and hostel buildings for the girls and other facilities..
