I gave because Genesis Community Health expresses Christ's love through free medical, dental and mental health care as well as social and spiritual support to low income uninsured Treasure Valley neighbors. This is possible through 250 volunteers and hundreds of local individual, business, and foundation donors. They are being the hands and feet of Jesus to people who otherwise would not access healthcare.

LifeStraw operates the Safe Water Fund, a 501(c)3 project, to support the provision of safe water where it is needed most.  

The Safe Water Fund operates as a 501(c)(3) project, supporting the implementation of long-term, sustainable safe water programs worldwide. We partner with grassroots organizations and local leaders to identify and reach communities and families most in need.

In addition to our retail-funded Give-Back program, the Safe Water Fund provides safe water during humanitarian emergencies and natural disasters. We also lead special initiatives in the cities where our employees live, including at our headquarters in Baltimore City, and participate in Giving Tuesday efforts each year.

In the past six years, the organization registered over 25,000 patients from 27 provinces.  Mersal has been seeking to enable access to its services all over the country. And the dream of helping those who are in need whoever they are and whatever the cost and time is still alive, Mersal has worked over the past six years on getting close to its patients throughout their treatment journey.

Our mission is to protect LGBTQ+ youth in Poland from the harms of homelessness and refugeehood. 

The Warsaw House Foundation's mission is to protect homeless and refugee  LGBTQ+ youth in Poland and provide them with the tools they need to live independently. Our inspiration was the  Ali Forney Center  (AFC)  n NYC, which is largest organization in the world offering support to homeless LGBTQ+ youth. We are honored that Carl Siciliano, the AFC's founder is on the board of the Warsaw House Foundation and works as an advisor. We place extra attention on HIV and STI education, support and prevention with the help of board member Dr. Joanna Kubica and the Smart Life Clinic in Warsaw.  After we took in our first LGBTQ+ youth to house on February 14th, 2023  we have been flooded with calls for housing and support from young people in need.  These are Polish Trans 18 year-olds from the Polish countryside in desperate need to escape their abusive and intolerant homes, young queer people with PTSD and untreated mental illness who need housing and support immediately, LGBTQ+ refugees from Ukraine and several young gay men from Iraq who suffered torture in their homeland, were detained and imprisoned at the Polish/Belarussian border for up to two years, and are now trying to build their lives in Poland.  We are also housing and supporting young LGBTQ+ people from Uganda and Egypt,  We are raising money to support the young people under our care, to house and feed them and pay for their medical needs and courses needed for them to start an independent life,  We are also raising money to hire staff (all of WH's work is now done by volunteers), to continue the renovation of our residential building and for short term emergency rentals.  We have a committed and professional team and a well planned strategy for both emergency and long term care.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!! 34,000 low-income uninsured neighbors in Idaho's Treasure Valley can't afford healthcare. 

Genesis Community Health is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit clinic providing them with free medical dental and mental health care as an expression of the love of Jesus Christ.

We are a grassroots organization supported by over 200 active volunteers as well as donors, businesses, churches, and foundations throughout the Treasure Valley.

VBI is India's Largest upcoming burn hospital, offering advanced treatment, rehab and research for 400M+, with 75% free care. 

**Varanasi Burn Institute: Building India's Largest, State-of-the-Art Burn Care Hospital**

Every year, millions of burn survivors in India are denied the dignity of access to quality care and rehabilitation. India witnesses nearly **7 million burn injuries and over 140,000 deaths** annually, with fewer than 70 specialised burn units nationwide, albeit unevenly distributed, under-resourced, and often expensive to those who need them most. Survivors often include women, children, and acid attack victims, who live with tragic physical, emotional, and economic consequences. Yet, with only a little less than **70** dedicated burn centres for **1.4 billion people,** most of which lack modern equipment or trained specialists, comprehensive treatment is out of reach for millions.

The Varanasi Burn Institute (VBI) aims to change that. Currently under construction in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, **VBI will be India’s largest, state-of-the-art, not-for-profit hospital** dedicated entirely to burns, treating everything from acute emergencies to long-term rehabilitation. It will serve as a national model of excellence, transforming care for a population of over **400 million people across Northern and Eastern India.**

**When complete, the 125-bedded facility will feature:**

- **25 ICUs**, each with independent air handling units (AHUs) to minimise infection risk.
- **6 advanced modular operating theatres** equipped for complex reconstructive surgeries.
- **25 HDUs** (high dependency units/step-down ICUs), plus general, private, emergency, and post-operative wards.
- Dedicated dialysis, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and psychological support facilities for holistic recovery.
- **Accommodation and food facilities** for patients’ families, ensuring support during long treatments.
- 	**Modern Skin Bank**: A game-changing facility for major burn victims, capable of storing donor skin for up to **5 years.**
- 	**In-house** Blood Bank for rapid, life-saving transfusions.
- **Telemedicine network**, providing 24×7 guidance to peripheral hospitals for emergency burn management.
- **Specialised Acid Burn Care** **Unit** offering tailored treatment, counselling, and rehabilitation.
- **Research Laboratory focused** on cultured skin development, advanced wound healing, infection control, and new treatment protocols.
- 	**Training & Education Centre** to build the next generation of burn specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals.
- **Collaboration with Government Health Systems** to train PHCs, UPHCs, and district hospitals, improving burn care at the grassroots level.

**OUR MODEL**

VBI will run on a **cross-subsidy model**, with **75%** of patients treated free or at subsidised rates, using government schemes such as PM-JAY/Ayushman Bharat, and the remaining **25%** being paid patients. 

**OUR IMPACT**
In its first 20 years, VBI is projected to treat nearly **2 million patients** and prevent over **200,000 families** from falling into poverty due to catastrophic health expenses. Its specialised care will prevent lifelong disabilities, restore livelihoods, and empower survivors to live with dignity. 

**OUR PROGRESS**
This is a ₹125 crore ($15M) project. We wholeheartedly thank the **Thompson Family Foundation (USA)** for the lead gift. We have secured approximately ₹50 crore ($6M) and expect to raise another ₹25 crore ($3M) within the next year. Additional donor support is urgently needed to equip the hospital and begin operations.

 The Fund for Congolese Women (FFC)   supports women's grassroots organizations through financial and technical assistance.  FFC is unique - the only women-led grant-giving NGO in the entire DRC. We provide grants to local women-led organizations that are often in the most remote, difficult to reach areas.   Why? We are unshakable believers in local solutions to local issues.  We know that the brave women and girls working at the grassroots level have the solutions. We know that when women become agents of change, they benefit, their families benefit, their communities benefit. Since its inception in 2007, FFC has funded more than 386 projects throughout the Democratic Republic of Congo. We support projects focusing on eliminating sexual violence against women, delivering empowerment programs for women and girls, educating women about HIV/AIDS and reproductive health, and advocating for environmental justice and access to resources and land for women. Its programs are geared towards total human development, poverty alleviation, and the creation of a Christian community with a strong social conscience.

**Youth Servant Leadership and Education Program (YSLEP)**

Caritas Manila believes that *education* is the *best social equalizer.*

YSLEP is Caritas Manila's flagship program. It forms future leaders from the poor by *providing scholarships and formation sessions* to around 5,000 youths nationwide.

**Caritas Damayan**

Damayan is the umbrella program of Caritas Manila that covers: (1) preventive health, (2) plant-based food security, (3) feeding and nutrition, (4) crisis intervention, and (5) disaster relief and rehabilitation.

Its sub-programs are:

1. **All is Well** - Through the help of its partners in the medical field, Caritas Manila *offers health services in 28 clinics* in Mega Manila.
2. **Gen129** -*\* This program advocates lifestyle change through plant-based living. In this program, we teach the poor \*how to grow their own food* for a more sustainable future.
3. **Munting Pag-asa** -*\* This program aims to \*counter malnutrition* by providing healthy supplemental meals to poor malnourished children for 120 days.
4. **Unang Yakap** -This program provides healthy meals and vitamins to *poor pregnant/lactating mothers* for 120 days to ensure the optimum health of the mother and their child. Beneficiaries also receive seminars on financial literacy to improve their living condition.
5. **Caritas in Action** - In cooperation with Radio Veritas 846, the CIA program provides medical, legal, hospital bill, laboratory, psychosocial, and burial assistance.
6. **Cadamay** - It *provides emergency relief response* within 24 to 72 hours by distributing food packs, hygiene kits, bedding materials, and shelter repair kits. It also provides livelihood assistance to victims of calamities and church reconstruction assistance to affected parishes.

**Restorative Justice**

It is a program designed to *help Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs)* heal their relationships with their families and the community. It also aims to help them be reintegrated into society as self-sufficient individuals.

**Sanlakbay**

Sanlakbay para sa Pagbabago ng Buhay is a parish/community-based rehabilitation program that aims to transform lives, restore human dignity, and *reintegrate* d*rug dependents* into their communities.

**Segunda Mana**

It is the donated goods program of Caritas Manila that *converts in-kind donations into cash* in our 47 charity outlets in Mega Manila to:

- Fund over 5000 tech-voc and college YSLEP scholars
- Support the livelihood of over 300 micro-entrepreneurs and their families from informal sectors like BASECO and Payatas
- Strongly promote the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle)

**Institute for Servant Leadership and Stewardship (ISLaS)**

ISLaS is the *volunteer arm of Caritas Manila* which mobilizes around 5,000 volunteers within the Archdiocese of Manila.

Parish-based leaders and volunteers undergo continuous training and values formation that mold them to become committed servant leaders. These volunteers enable us to efficiently and effectively implement various social services and development programs for poor families in their communities.

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international medical humanitarian organization created by doctors and journalists in France in 1971.

In over 70 countries around the world, MSF saves lives by providing medical aid where it is needed most—in armed conflicts, epidemics, natural disasters, and other crises.  The people who work for MSF are doctors, nurses, midwives, epidemiologists, water-and-sanitation experts and many others who combine their professional expertise with a commitment to the world’s most vulnerable people.  Each year, these medical teams run close to 470 projects where they care for millions of people.  

As an organization, MSF is neutral and operates independently of any political, military, or religious agendas. It does not take sides in armed conflicts, provides care based on needs alone, and advocates for increased independent access to victims of conflict and disaster as required under international humanitarian law. Medical teams conduct evaluations on the ground to determine a population's medical needs before opening programs, aiming to fill gaps that exist (rather than replicating services that are already offered) or reach communities that are not being assisted.  Over the years, the organization has been the recipient of several awards that recognize its work, including the 1998 Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize, the 1999 Nobel Peace Prize, the 2012 J. William Fulbright Prize for International Understanding, the 2015 Lasker-Bloomberg Public Service Award, and the 2017 Pardes Humanitarian Prize for Mental Health.
