Essentials for Survival to Vulnerable Refugees in Cambodia

The armed conflict along the Cambodia–Thailand border has forced thousands of people to flee from their homes and seek temporary shelter in safer areas. Preah Vihear province, located along the border, is one of DPA’s target areas.

DPA is working closely with district and commune disaster‐management committees to gather information on the most vulnerable groups and support their essential needs. There are 1,346 most vulnerable refugee households, including 1,008 female‐headed households and 64 people with disabilities. Among the displaced population are 1,969 women, 968 children, and 347 older people. They are situated in four refugee camps across four target villages (Thnal Bek, Trav Keat, Bos, and Chhaeb Lech), three communes (Thmei, Phnom Penh, and Chhaeb 1), and two districts (Kulen and Chhaeb).

Funds from this fundraising campaign will be used to provide essential items during this challenging time, including: Shelters, Hygiene and Sanitation supplies, and Food (Milk for infants).
