Support the Teen Adult Program in 2024
Please join us in funding our Teen Adult Program in 2024!
Dar-us-Sakina's Teen Adult Program is a unique opportunity for individuals with disabilities age 15 and up to learn valuable life skills in a supportive, social environment. Participants partake in monthly themes ranging from Money Management and Physical Fitness to Home Economics and Hygiene. Paired one on one with peer volunteers, participants not only learn skills, but also develop unique friendships and a sense of community.
Here's what participants have to say about our program:
"I love Dar-us-Sakina because I went to the fitness class, I went to Taekwondo class, I went to the bowling alley, I went to Willowfork Park, I met new friends, and I had so much fun!"
Iman, Teen Adult Program Student
"I like the TAP program because it's fun. I made lots of friends there and I have fun learning things from there. We talk about video games, anime and stuff we did over the week. I learn how to make different food and I like when we go to outings."
Cameron, Teen Adult Program Student
"I really love Dar-us-Sakina TAP program because I love hanging out with everybody. My peer buddies are awesome and I learn different things about money and we make all kinds of snacks. What I learned from Dar-us-Sakina is that we all have to love Allah every single day because he is watching out for us. And we have to do a lot of good deeds so we can go to heaven."
