TAO Karakali: a new way of seeing home can change a future
Sometimes, discovering new possibilities begins by learning to see the place you come from with new eyes. TAO Karakalí is a two-week immersive learning program in which 16 local young people work in small groups, combining after-school sessions, full-day field experiences, and hands-on projects throughout the territory. TAO Karakalí turns the territory into a living laboratory, where young people explore their river, biodiversity, history, and cultural heritage through science, technology, fieldwork, and local knowledge. Along the way, they learn to observe, question, investigate, create, and share what they discover about their own community.
Your contribution helps young people understand that where they come from does not have to define the limits of where they can go—it can become the starting point for what they choose to build. By studying, documenting, and valuing their own territory, they develop skills that can open new educational and professional pathways while becoming a generation better prepared to understand, protect, and shape the future of the place they call home.
