Imagine a place where learning, creating, connecting, and growing are part of everyday life. Casa Pinto will be a community space where children, young people, artisans, and families can access education, culture, technology, and new opportunities under one roof.

Your contribution helps create a lasting foundation within the community: a safe, active, and well-equipped space where a skill can become an opportunity, an idea can become a project, and an opportunity can become a new path forward—for one person and, over time, for an entire community.

Casa Pinto

We create educational opportunities so children and young people can expand what they believe is possible.

Craftedways Foundation was born on the banks of Colombia's Magdalena River, in towns rich in history, craft, and nature, but where opportunity has long felt out of reach. We work alongside children, young people, and riverside communities, starting in Santa Bárbara de Pinto and with a growing presence in Mompox and Calamar, places that travelers on the river are only beginning to discover. We imagine communities where no child believes their future is limited by where they were born, and where leaving, staying, or coming home is a free choice. To get there, we are building a model of territorial development that looks at the whole community as a system, with children and young people at its center. Everything we do feeds a single purpose: expanding what young people can see, believe, and achieve. English and education open doors to new worlds; leaders and role models from their own towns show them what is possible; artisans who turn their craft into a livelihood prove that opportunity can grow at home; and culture keeps them rooted in the identity, history, and strengths of their territory.

Every contribution becomes something that can stay with someone: the tool that helps a young person discover a new path, the knowledge that enables an artisan to build a livelihood from their craft, new skills that strengthen a teacher, or an experience that shows a child their future can be bigger than they ever imagined. As river tourism brings new visitors to these towns, we help local people be ready to create and lead the opportunities it opens, so that growth stays in the territory and keeps generating possibilities for those who come next. When people gain the tools to grow, make choices, and create opportunities for themselves, the impact reaches far beyond one life—it strengthens families, inspires others, and opens new paths across entire communities.

*Together, we are not simply creating opportunities; we are helping build pathways to a better future.*
