Support vulnerable girls affected by the earthquake
The earthquake that has affected Colombia has hit the Afro-Colombian region of Chocó and has impacted various areas of the coffee-growing region. The communities in Quibdó are the poorest in the country and have lost their homes. There is no infrastructure that allows them to find an alternative place to live and stay. Many boys and girls who participate in Motete programs are in a state of neglect and lack basic resources for their survival. Efforts are ongoing to save lives and attend to the injured. The support will be used for:
- Tents or relocation of victims
- Hygiene supplies
- Psychological support for families, especially children.
- Supervision of girls who are at higher risk of vulnerability in this context.
- First aid and feminine hygiene supplies.
