Lebanon is facing an unprecedented crisis. Since September 23, relentless attacks have devastated cities and villages, displacing over 1.2 million people. Families have lost everything, and the country’s infrastructure is collapsing. Hospitals, water systems, and essential services are failing, escalating this humanitarian disaster. Over 425,000 people have fled to Syria, a country already struggling with its own crisis. Among them are Syrians returning to uncertainty and Lebanese citizens seeking refuge from their country’s devastation. COOPI is on the ground, providing immediate assistance. Active in Lebanon since 2013, COOPI has transformed community centers into shelters and setting up mobile kitchens to provide two daily hot meals to thousands. In Syria, with years of established presence, COOPI has already mobilized our resources to offer food, safe shelters and psychosocial support to those in need. The situation is urgent.
