Support Cultural Exchange Trips Helping Women in Ghana
For some women in Ghana, they may miss up to a year of school due to their monthly periods during their lifetime. Studies have found that 95% of girls in some regions missed school due to menstruation.
Through our “Connect to Queendom” program, we provide resources, mentorship and connection to their peers to improve the quality of lives of women on the continent and throughout the African Diaspora. To see more about our program, visit https://youtu.be/LPoxZteNO9Q
To date, our "Connected to Queendom" program has provided over 200 reusable menstrual cups, sanitary pads and underwear to clinics in Tema, Ghana. Our curated events, special workshops and one-on-one sessions designed to engage, inspire and support the personal and leadership development of young African women. The goal is to develop women across the continent as agents of change through our cultural exchange program. In order to foster lifelong connections with the continent and the Diaspora, women in Africa are linked with their peers in the Diaspora for virtual and in-person experiences where they share important life lessons and build life-long bonds.
We are excited to announce that we are partnering with the Beat Ya Feet Academy for our next "Connected To Queendom" cultural exchange program. The cost of flights to Africa, as well as any extra internal flights, Visa fees, vaccinations and inoculations, accommodations, ground transportation and project donations for our group of 5 is approximately USD $23,000. We need your help to go back to Ghana in July 2023 to provide even more to women in the continent and throughout the African Diaspora.
