Why This Matters to Me

I was born in Ethiopia and have witnessed firsthand how the elderly are often left behind—especially those with no family, income, or government support. I’ve sat with grandmothers who sleep on cowhide or bare floors, who eat once a day if they’re lucky. I've met elderly men who once raised families and worked hard, only to spend their final years alone and homeless, begging door-to-door for a piece of bread.

These are not isolated stories. This is the reality for far too many older adults in Ethiopia.

That’s why I founded Grace Elderly Care International, Inc.—to restore hope and dignity to those who’ve been forgotten.
