Help Us Build a More Just Future—One Young Leader at a Time

This year, Community Works walked alongside more than 1,800 people across our programs—creating spaces for healing, connection, and opportunity. As we close out 2025, we are launching our Year-End Giving Campaign with a goal of raising $100,000. Of that, $25,000 will ensure young people in our programs can continue to travel to conferences and legislative hearings—places where their stories shift narratives and shape policy.

This year also marked the 19th anniversary of ProjectWHAT!, our groundbreaking program dedicated to recognizing and uplifting children of incarcerated parents. Since its founding, more than 1,000 young people have participated directly, and thousands more have been reached through trainings, school presentations, and statewide advocacy. Their leadership continues to influence policies and practices across California.

In 2025, we also completed our new Youth Hub in San Francisco—a safe, welcoming space for young people to gather, learn, and support one another. Already, we’ve seen powerful moments: a young person who began Summer Training hesitant and withdrawn now confidently engaging in group activities and writing sessions; a youth advocate traveling to the 7th Annual Ann Adalist-Estrin Memorial National Children of Incarcerated Parents Conference to present their narrative alongside CW staff.

These are the transformations your generosity makes possible.

As we look to the year ahead, we invite you to invest in young people’s leadership, healing, and vision. Please consider making a year-end gift to Community Works today. Your support sustains life-changing programs and fuels the voices shaping a more just future.
