Build a block school with Captain Jason Chambers
Classroom of Hope aims to empower children in Lombok, Indonesia with safe, sustainable schools and community enrichment education programs. By using an innovative new block technology, every classroom we build removes 1.8 tons of plastic waste from the environment and provides an earthquake-resistant learning environment where children can thrive.
In 2018 Lombok was devastated by earthquakes. Over 500 people lost their lives and 400 schools lost classrooms. In the following years, the government and various NGOs began to rebuild some schools, at first making pop up schools to get children back in to education as quickly as possible. Despite these efforts, many schools continue operating without adequate learning spaces.
