2024 Series for Jazz Education and Appreciation

In 2024 the Center is planning a yearlong celebration of the 65th anniversary of some of the greatest jazz albums of all time. In 1959 over a dozen amazing jazz recordings were released, including Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue, Dave Brubeck’s Time Out, John Coltrane’s Giant Steps, Charles Mingus’ Mingus Ah Um, and more.

We are seeking support from our donors and sponsors to provide 100% free access to a special series of programs for students and seniors (65+), for the entire 2024 year. C4RM volunteers are actively working with schools and non-profit organizations in the Greater Kansas City area to sign up participants for these programs.

Our 2024 celebration of jazz will feature collective listening experiences every month that include insights and education in a fun, engaging setting. Presenters will include local and national jazz experts, educators, and people from the music industry.
