The Counseling and Education Center (CEC) is a non-profit organization that provides mental health counseling to anyone in need. 

**When you support CEC, you're giving someone in crisis a lifeline. You're helping a struggling parent find strength. You're giving a child the tools to heal from trauma. You're making professional mental health care accessible to neighbors who have nowhere else to turn.**

**The need is real**. Anyone who has tried to find a therapist knows how hard it can be - therapists with no openings, insurance that won't cover it, costs that are impossibly high. For low-income families in Mesa County, these barriers can feel insurmountable.

**CEC breaks down those barriers.** We provide professional, trauma-informed counseling to adults, teens, children, and families - regardless of income or insurance. No eligibility requirements. No session caps. Just compassionate, high-quality care in comfortable spaces that rival any private practice. Our 14 highly trained therapists work with clients of all ages - from 3 to 85 - addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship struggles, and life transitions. Most of our clients are low-income, with 61% using Medicaid and others paying as little as $15 per session.

**We're also building the future.** Through our workforce development program, we train the next generation of therapists, expanding Mesa County's mental health workforce so more people can access the care they need.

**And we're growing to serve more.** In early 2025, we're opening a second location in Orchard Mesa, bringing mental health care directly to an underserved community of over 7,000 residents.
