Aid the Philippines: Typhoon Crising & Habagat Relief
In response to Typhoon Crising and the current Habagat (or southwest monsoon) affecting a large portion of the Philippines, Ayala Foundation, Inc. (AFI), together with local WeAreAyala Business Club (WAABC) chapters, will begin relief operations in Cogon and Mabolo in Cebu, and Kabankalan City in Negros, providing food bags to 600 out of 5,648 affected families (10.6%). Later this week, AFI will provide no cook, ready-to-eat food packs and doxycycline (leptospirosis prophylaxis and treatment) medicines to over 1,000 affected families in Metro Manila, including 902 families out of 9,005 (10.0%) affected evacuees in Marikina, Quezon City, Manila, Malabon, and Navotas, and 100 Ayala Group employees affected by the severe weather disturbance.
