Pave a bright future for young musicians from Latin America

On Giving Tuesday, December 2, 2024 and throughout December, consider making a gift that will open the door to a promising future for talented young musicians from Latin America.

Ilumina’s visionary approach to changing the flow of talent around the world begins with the Ilumina Festival. We have selected 28 young musicians from Brazil and Latin America to participate in the 10th Ilumina Festival (January 2-12, 2025). We believe that their talents are worthy of deep investment. Ilumina covers all of their expenses for a 10-day immersion on a sustainable coffee farm with 17 world-class artists from Europe and the U.S., leading to ground-breaking performances for the agricultural community and audiences from the urban periphery of São Paulo.

Ilumina offers its participants ongoing coaching throughout the year that helps them gain admission to top conservatories in Europe and the U.S. Over the past 10 years, 70% of Ilumina’s participants have gone on to study at 32 different foreign conservatories, with 95% of those accepted to the school of their choice.

How can you help? Invest alongside Ilumina and give a gift that will be used to fund this critical first step in the Ilumina journey for these young musicians. Our goal for Giving Tuesday is to raise funds for four scholarships to the 10th Ilumina Festival.

We appreciate gifts in any amount. An especially impactful way to help is to make a gift that covers the full cost of participation in the Ilumina Festival (US$2,250 for Brazilian musicians and US$3,500 for musicians from the rest of Latin America).
