Help Reopen Las Hormiguitas: Where Children Can Thrive

In the outskirts of Cusco, Peru, many children grow up in families facing economic hardship, limited access to basic services, and few opportunities for quality early childhood education.

Since 2009, "Las Hormiguitas" has been much more than a preschool. It has been a safe place where children can learn, play, discover their creativity, and lay the foundations for their future.

But financial difficulties forced us to pause our work.

🏫 Now, we are working to reopen our doors in 2027. And we need your help to make it possible.

By reopening Las Hormiguitas, 36 children ages 4 and 5 will have access to quality early childhood education in a safe and nurturing environment. But our work goes far beyond the classroom.

🎨 We will also support children and their families through music, theater, art, and psychomotor development activities; family guidance and mediation; psychological support; supplemental nutrition; and the early identification of children who may be at risk.

Together with our community programs, Las Hormiguitas will help reach more than 250 children, teenagers, and family members every year.

 $60 can support art workshops and enrichment activities.

 $155 can provide one child with a full month of education and comprehensive support.

 $1,840 can fund a full year of schooling for one child.

 $5,730 can help sustain one of the project’s classrooms for one month.
