Planting 1 million trees, step 1: digging drainage channels

We have seen recently that climate change is accelerating rapidly, it is urgent to act!

By planting 1 million trees we want to act so that the next generations have a chance for a better future.

This region of Patagonia is extremely dry and sometimes even desertic. Therefore, when it rains we must recover this precious rainwater. The first step is then to build drainage channels.

The construction of channels covering an area of 500 Ha will hold water to generate bio mass improving biodiversity. These channels are 20 to 30 cm wide and have an average depth of 30 cm. They are carried out by specialized cranes. In some areas, we will dig down smalls ponds.

The budget is 120.000 USD. The channels construction will start in October 2024.
