NIRMAAN is an NGO founded in 2005 and run by alumni of BITS, Pilani a prestigious engineering institute in India, who have given up lucrative tech careers, with an impressive track record in sustainable development in education and livelihood. NIRMAAN has a track record of outstanding work in rural India. They have pivoted to crucial COVID relief efforts in these critical times - one such effort being establishing ten-bed ICU units in rural hospitals across India. This will help in improving the long term public health infrastructure in rural India while addressing the immediate crisis.
NIRMAAN is the implementing partner for Breathe-India, a pan-India initiative that provides families with an Oxygen Concentrator(OC) that could potentially save one life a week and the family from debilitating bills and anxiety around hospitalization.
